LOS ANGELES, February 4, 2026 – After premiering on the film festival circuit in 2024, short film, “Stan Behavior,” from Writer and Director Tyler C. Peterson has been released online via Crafty Short Films.

Starring the reigning RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars winner Ginger Minj (Hocus Pocus 2, Dumplin’), the film recently completed its festival run with over thirty official selections, including the Oscar-qualifying Provincetown International Film Festival, Miami Film Festival, Frameline: The San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival, NewFest: The New York LGBTQ+ Film Festival, and SCAD Savannah Film Festival, where the film was presented by Amazon MGM Studios.

The film went on to win the Audience Choice Award at Queer Fear Film Festival 2024 and Outstanding Directing for a Comedic Short at The Micheaux Film Festival 2024, alongside several nominations for Peterson’s screenplay and Minj’s lead performance as Golide Hon, a local drag queen who embarks on a quest for better workplace rights.

The film also stars Yvonne Zima (Our Flag Means Death, Play Dirty), Heidi N Closet (Slay, RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars), and Marta BeatChu (Eastsiders). Eric Michael Kochmer serves as Producer, Marc Smolowitz as Consulting Producer, Minj as Associate Producer, with Peterson and Anthony Hand as Executive Producers of the film.

“I’m so thrilled  ‘Stan Behavior’ found an online home with Crafty Short Films,” said Peterson. “Now, audiences all over the world can enjoy our film that’s taken on a life much longer than I could have ever imagined, and remains as relevant as when I wrote the screenplay.”

Steven Hellmann, Co-Founder of Crafty, said, "It's an honor to share Tyler's film on our platform. His film not only entertained audiences at premium film festivals all around the country, but is a powerful advocacy for the 'Drag Is Not a Crime' movement supporting and defending Drag Communities. Tyler's film champions first amendment rights while making the film and telling the story that he wanted to make!"

The film is available to stream now, exclusively on Crafty’s YouTube channel. Crafty Short Films was co-founded by Alexander Jeffery, Steven Hellmann and Kyle Brunick in 2023 with the mission to present snack-sized stories, both narrative and nonfiction, with an emphasis on heart and humanity.
